Dr. Wilhelm Bauer
Project Director

Dr. Wilhelm Bauer studied engineering at the University of Stuttgart, focusing on work science and data processing. 1983 he entered the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO as a scientific associate. Since 1991 he is Director of the Competence Center New Work and Virtual Reality and member of the Management Board. He is Project Director of the joint research project OFFICE 21® and the Fraunhofer Office Innovation Center. Dr. Bauer is assistant professor for work design at the University of Stuttgart and assistant professor for work science at the Stuttgart University of Cooperative Education (Berufsakademie Stuttgart).
 
Dr. Wolfgang Deiters
Vice Project Director

From 1980 to 1986 Wolfgang Deiters studied Computer Science at the University of Dortmund. In 1992 he earned his doctorate at the Technical University Berlin. From 1989 to 1992 he worked as a scientific associate at the Institute for Software Technology at the University of Dortmund. Since 1993 he manages the department “Process Management” at the Fraunhofer Institute for Software and Systems Engineering ISST in Dortmund. Since 2001 he manages the Dortmund branch of the Fraunhofer Institute for Software and Systems Engineering ISST. Since 2000 Mr. Deiters also holds the position of Vice Project Director of the Fraunhofer Office Innovation Center.
 
Isabella Jesemann, M.A. M.A.
Manager of the OIC branch

Mrs. Jesemann studied Slavic languages and German at the University of Tübingen (Master in May 1994) and cultural adminis-tration in Ludwigsburg (Master in February 1997). After her studies she worked as a freelance event manager in Ireland. Since August 1999 she is event manager at the Fraunhofer Office Innovation Center. Since October 2000 Mrs. Jesemann is responsi-ble for the Management of the OIC branch.

Fields of activity: Project coordination, Project management, financial manage-ment, event management, public relations.
 
Alexander Greisle, Dipl.-Inf.wiss., Dipl.-Betriebswirt (FH)

Alexander Greisle studied business economics at the University of Applied Sciences Regensburg and information sciences at the University of Konstanz. He worked as IT-consultant, project manager and team manager in Switzerland and Germany, focusing on business process management, workflow- and workgroup-computing and secure business transactions. Since March 2002 he works as a scientific associate for the Fraunhofer Office Innovation Center, focusing on IT @ New Work. Alexander Greisle is assistant professor for web-based information systems at the Stuttgart University of Cooperative Education (Berufsakademie Stuttgart).
Jens Hofmann, Dipl.-Kfm.

From 1989 to 1995 Jens Hofmann studied technical business economics at the University of Stuttgart, focusing on microeconomic organization, planning and process engineering. Since January 1997 he works as a scientific associate at the Institute of Human Factors and Technology (IAT), which belongs to the University of Stuttgart. Since February 2001 he works as a scientific associate at the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO, mainly in the CC New Work. He focuses on projects dealing with customer care questions and OFFICE 21®.
 

Jürgen Hupp, Dipl.-Ing.

Jürgen Hupp studied electrical engineering. Since 1991he works at the Fraunhofer-Institute for Integrated Circuits (IIS) in Erlangen. In 1995 he becamme head of the wireless networks-team in the department of communications engineering. Since 2000 he manages the project group for »interoperative systems«.

 
Dr. Jörg Kelter

Jörg Kelter studied mechanical engineering at the University of Stuttgart, focusing on work sciences. In 1985 he completed his studies and worked as a scientific associate at the IFF until 1989. Since 1989 he works at the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO, occupying various functions. Currently he is Senior Scientist at the Fraunhofer Office Innovation Center. In 2002 he completed his doctor thesis.

His major fields of activity are:
- New Work Consulting
- planning and realization of empirical studies (Office Space & Office Layout, Office Index 2000, Office Performance etc.)
- the development and the implementation of user-oriented office concepts, with a special regard to organizational aspects, technical infrastructure, the spatial structure of offices and ergonomic workplace concepts
Steffen Klingler, Dipl.-Ing. Freier Architekt Dipl.-Wi.-Ing.

Steffen Klingler studied architecture and town planning at the University of Stuttgart. Afterwards he studied industrial engi-neering at the technical college for design, technology and economics in Pforzheim, diploma thesis about quantitative methods. In 1992 he was awarded the German steel construction award in Berlin. From 1991 to 1995 he worked as a scientific associate at the Institute for girder-constructions and constructive design. From 1997 to 1999 he was professional advisor at the chair for building construction and design II. Since 1999 he is managing director of the KOP Planning Society Ltd. Since 1998 he also works as a freelancer for the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO at the Competence Center New Work, focusing on concept development, technical consultation and construction- and space management.
 
Oliver Korn, M.A.

From 1994 to 2001 Oliver Korn studied business sciences at the University of Hohenheim as well as English and German studies at the University of Stuttgart and the University of Glasgow. Master thesis about comprehension of texts. Since 2001 he works as a freelancer for the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO, focusing on computer-based training, web-based training and public relations. At the Fraunhofer Office Innovation Center he is responsible for the public relations. Furthermore he is editor and designer of the OIC_News.
 
Alexander Rieck, Dipl.-Ing.

Alexander Rieck studied architecture at the University of Stuttgart. Mr. Rieck received a grant for a one-year study at the Arizona State University in Phoenix. Parallel to his academic education he worked at several well reputed planning agencies. After he completed his studies in 1997 he first worked as a freelancer at the Competence Center Virtual Reality at the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO. Since 1998 he works as a scientific associate at the Fraunhofer IAO’s CC New Work. He is sub-project manager at the joint project OFFICE 21® and project manager at several consultation projects with partners from the industry and the building trade. Moreover he manages the scientific projects ViBaL (Virtual Site Management Platform) and the joint project BAUEN 21 (BUILDING 21).
Klaus-Peter Stiefel, Dipl.-Kfm.

Klaus-Peter Stiefel studied technical business economics at the University of Stuttgart. After a short occupation at the Siemens AG in Erlangen he changed his job. Now he works for the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO, where he focuses on the conception and the application of information- and com-munication-technology. He manages the consultation center information technology and consults several businesses with respect to information technology. Klaus-Peter Stiefel is responsible for the IT-management at the Fraunhofer Office Innovation Center.
   
Stefan Rief, Dipl.-Ing.

Stefan Rief studied architecture and town planning at the University of Stuttgart. Since 2000 he works at the CC New Work, focusing on office- and building-solutions, strategic Corporate Real Estate Management and future-proof real estate concepts.
 
Kai Jürgens

Kai Jürgens studies information technology at the Stuttgart University of Cooperative Education (Berufsakademie Stuttgart). Since October 2001 he works as a scientific associate-in-training at the Fraunhofer Office Innovation Center, focusing on computer administration.
